All-around performance in over 20 colors! Good choice for small to mid-size packs, 400/600d is recommended for bottom panels and high abrasion areas.
The 400d recycled face fabric almost twice the abrasion resistance as standard 420d nylon. Well suited for bags with a separate liner, or stand-alone for high durability at low weight.
600d recycled Cordura® face fabric gives EPLX600 a supple hand with comparable durability, stitch-holding, and abrasion resistance to 500d Cordura®.
The fabric is, at least. EcoPak is a 100% waterproof composite fabric. Water can still get in through sewn seams.
Lightweight fabric without compromise in durability.
EcoPak is made from 100% recycled polyester fiber and film. Each yard upcycles about 20 plastic water bottles.
Excellent resistance to abrasion and tears. Cordura might win here in comparison.
Cordura fabric has a classic, rugged look and feel.
Less technical than EcoPak, but sometimes we want a more subdued look. Ages beautifully in the sun.
Backed with a polyurethane coating and coated with a DWR treatment on the face for a highly water-resistant finish. Not 100% waterproof, but with liner backing and nice zippers it shouldn’t matter too much.

Durable, burly, water resistant.
#8 YKK AquaGuard zipper. Used for the side zippered pocket on a custom frame bag.
Used on the inside. We take the extra time to fully line our bags. This lets us reduce the amount of stitches to the outside of the fabric, increase durability, and line the perimeter of our bags with foam.

Recycled Bag Cloth by Challenge Outdoors is a recycled polyester liner fabric with an environmentally friendly C0 DWR on the outside and a water-resistant PU coating on the inside.
Each yard recycles about 10 plastic bottles and saves about one pound of carbon emissions, compared to standard nylon or polyester bag fabric.
We use this to line the perimeter of our custom frame bags and in various places of other bags. Adds some nice structure and padding.
Technical info:
Recyclable, flexible, elastic, resilient, impervious to rot, and low water retention.
Closed-cell foam is also good thermal insulation.
Ozone depletion-free and chlorofluorocarbon-free in composition of raw materials and in the production process.
We have black, biege, and some white trim options for Velcro, webbing, trim, and cordage.
